Nissan New Altima 2023 Model Minor Change New V Motion Grill Adopted Announced June 9, 2022

Nissan announced on June 9, 2022 (local time) that the new “Altima (Japanese name: Teana)” will undergo a minor change as a 2023 US model.

Nissan New Altima Partially Improved 2023 Model Exterior

Uses a redesigned V-motion grill. The mask has a simpler exterior and uses the same new Nissan emblem as other models. The sporty look is enhanced with standard LED headlights and a new 19-inch alloy wheel design (17-inch on the SV). In 2023, Nissan will offer two new exterior shades (gray sky pearl and garnet pearl metallic) and an optional single-panel moonroof. Ultima is available in S, SV, SR, SL, and SRVC-Turbo FWD grades. All of these are equipped with FWD as standard equipment, but SV, SR and SL are also available in Nissan’s intelligent AWD system.

The interior features a new 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen that replaces the previous 8-inch unit, wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto connection, Nissan Door-to-Door Navigation, and Nissan Connect Services. Equipped with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, optional leather-covered zero gravity seat, 8-power adjustable driver’s seat, wireless phone charging pad, WiFi hotspot, and 9-speaker Bose. Premium audio system, active noise cancellation, Amazon Alexa. The Safety Shield 360 suite, including the basic ADAS system, comes standard with all trim levels, while the more sophisticated ProPILOT Assist and Intelligent Around View Monitor are available in higher grades.

The 2.5L DOHC in-line 4-cylinder direct injection engine is standard equipment at the grade level, with a maximum output of 188hp and a maximum torque of 180 lb-ft (FWD). The 2.0L VC-Turbo in-line 4-cylinder, maximum output 236hp, maximum torque 267 lb-ft delivers near V6 level fuel economy with 4-cylinder fuel economy. VC-Turbo is used in the Altima SR VC-Turbo front-wheel drive grade. Both engines are compatible with next-generation Xtronic transmissions. In addition to front-wheel drive, the 2021 Altima also offers intelligent all-wheel drive. It is standard on Ultima Platinum and is available at SV, SR and SL grade levels with a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine. The system uses an advanced torque split control strategy that automatically redistributes torque to the wheels according to road and driving conditions (from 0: 100 front to 50:50 rear).
