Design inheriting the DNA of Swift Sport and Cappuccino
The design of Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo adopts elements reminiscent of Suzuki’s representative sports model “Swift Sport” and the FR sports car “Capuccino” that was once sold in the overall silhouette.
It was developed together with Suzuki’s state-of-the-art lightweight technology as a supersport that revives the concept car “GSX-R / 4” that Suzuki announced at the 2001 Tokyo Motor Show with the latest technology.
Maximum output 432 horsepower! HAYABUSA engine combined with 3 motors
Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo is a concept car equipped with the engine of the motorcycle sold by Suzuki, like the GSX-R / 4.
At that time, the front mid was equipped with a 1.3-liter 4-cylinder engine with a maximum output of 197 horsepower, which was installed in the “GSX1300R Hayabusa (currently Hayabusa)” that debuted as the world’s fastest mass-produced motorcycle. Although it has an FR layout, it is finished as an AWD drive with a total of three motors, two for front drive and one for rear drive.
With this combination, the total performance of the system is 318kW (432PS) / 9,700rpm and the maximum torque is 610Nm (62kgf ・ m). With a high-speed power train and a lightweight body weighing only 970 kg, it embodies Suzuki’s unique pure sports car.
In the future, Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo Gr.3, which conforms to the standard “Gr.3” in Gran Turismo, which corresponds to the GT3 category of motor sports, will also be released.
